About me

W e l c o m e

Everyone has a story. Here is part of mine.

I loved connecting with my students as an elementary school teacher and was inspired by the ways I could teach them to be caring people. Mindfulness and learning outside in nature were important in my classroom. I struggled with planning, assessment and classroom management. It wasn’t for me.

I took the leap and left teaching for a career in psychotherapy. When I left, what I heard was, “who am I going to walk with at recess?” and “who am I going to talk to about my problems?”. I’m now doing exactly what I’m supposed to be doing.

When looking back, there were lots of little hops along the way before I took the leap of leaving teaching. Little whispers nudging me along my path. They were all necessary. Ultimately, I had to be brave and listen to my inner voice as it got louder. We all have this inner wisdom.

My five year therapy training was both theoretical and experiential, meaning I had to be in my own therapy in order to truly learn. In other words, I can’t take you where I haven’t been myself. Let’s go together.

How can I help others? I am kind, genuine and warm. My approach is curious and collaborative. We work together to alleviate symptoms and to discover the deeper roots of your struggles. I don’t have all the answers, but I will go with you to find yours.
